CDC is announcing that the Order requiring persons to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before boarding a flight to the United States, will be rescinded, effective on June 12, 2022 at 12:01AM ET.

This means that starting at 12:01AM ET on June 12, 2022, air passengers will not need to get tested and show the COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 prior to boarding a flight to the U.S.

The COVID-19 pandemic has now shifted to a new phase, due to the widespread uptake of highly effective COVID-19 vaccines, the availability of effective therapeutics, and the accrual of high rates of vaccine- and infection-induced immunity at the population level in the United States. Each of these measures has contributed to lower risk of severe disease and death across the United States. As a result, this requirement which was needed at an earlier stage in the pandemic may be withdrawn. CDC continues to recommend that those travelers boarding a flight to the U.S. get tested for current infection with a viral test as close to the time of departure as possible (no more than 3 days) and not travel if they are sick.

CDC continues to evaluate the latest science and state of the pandemic and will reassess the need for a testing requirement if the situation changes. CDC will communicate any updates publicly if and/or when they change.

  • In order to enter Kenya, U.S. and Canadian citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond the date of reentry.
  • We recommend having at least two blank passport pages for entry stamps.
  • If you are not a U.S. or Canadian citizen, you must contact each destination country’s consulate for your specific entry requirements.
  • Loose-fitting, layered clothing that can accommodate varying temperatures will be most comfortable. Quick-dry material is best for hot days outside.
  • Pack a swimsuit as the hotels have pools that you are free to use at your leisure.
  • Sun protection is very important. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a broad-brimmed hat to protect your face and the back of your neck from the sun.
  • A small bottle of hand sanitizer may be helpful when other facilities are not readily available while on the road.

They are very typical in the coastal areas but also very popular in the gastronomy of Punta Cana. Several alternatives exist to prepare them, either as fish fillet, especially if it is a grouper or squid; served with garlic; coconut; “a la diabla”, for which a spicy tomato sauce is used; or “a la Criolla”, in which a mild tomato sauce is used.

Other typical fishes are also prepared in this village such as octopus, crab, shrimp, and lamb.

All of the rooms are equipped with USB charging ports and Euro-American sockets. If traveling with non-North American/European devices, we recommend bringing any necessary adaptors.

For the Dominican Republic, there are two associated plug types, types A and B. Plug type A is the plug that has two flat parallel pins and plug type B is the plug that has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. The Dominican Republic operates on a 120V supply voltage and 60Hz.

As voltage can differ from country to country, you may need to use a voltage converter or transformer whilst in the Dominican Republic. If the frequency is different, the normal operation of an electrical appliance may also be affected. For example, a 50Hz clock may run faster on a 60Hz electricity supply.  Most voltage converters and transformers come supplied with plug adaptors, so you may not need to buy a separate travel adaptor.

  • Wi-Fi is available at the hotel and common areas
  • Please contact your mobile service provider for information on roaming charges.

Punta Cana is in the same time zone as New York.

All taxes, tips, and gratuities are included in your all-inclusive package. Additional gratuities are most welcome by our staff should services exceed your expectations.

Your all-inclusive plan includes meals, drinks, entertainment, and many fun activities. However, we recommend bringing extra cash for off-site expenses, spa services, tours, and transfers. The resort accepts cash payments in US Dollars, Euros, and Dominican Pesos. The resort offers foreign exchange services for mayor currencies, subject to availability.
